White calla lily ( Zantedeschia aethiopica L.) is an important economic flower crop in Yang-Ming-Shan National Park. Nowadays, soft rot disease causes serious production loss of calla lily again due to bulblet aging and climate abnormality. For sustainable development of calla lily industry, in vitro plant regeneration pathway of white calla lily through direct shoot organogenesis has been established in previous research. The objective of this study is to develop mass production system of healthy shoots and plantlets for further plant materials of bulblet formation . Different size of plantlets in liquid or solid culture will be estimated for the effects on bulblet formation. The combination of different concentrations of sucrose and jasmonic acid will be used to find out a suitable condition for bulblet development and proliferation. The development of bulblet to flowering bulb will be also discussed. The mass propagation of healthy rhizome bulb of white calla lily could serve as plant material source for growers to renew bulbs.
