n order to reinforce the requirement from flood mitigation, the automatic weather stations and rain gauges distribution along the river basin is studied. In this project, the station elevations above 1000m are primarily focused. In addition, the intense radar reflectivity frequency during 2009-2011 will be studied. The result of the frequency distribution is equivalent to the heavy rainfall area and it will be used to provide suggestions installing new weather stations. Additionally, the radar frequency study will also be focused on the Yun-Lin and Chia-Yi counties to support the near future station revising plan in these two counties.
