此研究計畫預計一年,欲研究晚明東林學派學者顧憲成與高攀龍。探究顧、高兩人修正王學的問題意識下,如何評論「朱陸異同」與「朱王異同」問題,以及兩人說法的比較。末學初步發現,即便顧憲成與高攀龍的思想主軸不在「朱陸異同」與「朱王異同」的判斷上,但是在他們的思想內容中多有涉略這兩項議題,且提出某種程度的調和說法。目前末學可確定的是,顧憲成欲以「實踐進路」的這一範圍來調和朱陸王三人,並提出「無我」這一主軸;而高攀龍除繼承此脈絡,更直接在「心理合一」的論述下調和朱、王。末學欲研究清楚兩人在此議題的主張,並評析他們的論述貢獻與效力。
In this one-year project, I intend to examine and evaluate the arguments proposed by two distinguished scholars of the Dong Lin School in the late Ming dynasty—Gu Xian Cheng and Gao Pan Long—specifically how they respectively respond and comment upon “the similarities and dissimilarities between Zhu and Liu” and “the similarities and dissimilarities between Zhu and Wang” in their shared concern to amend Wang Yang-ming’s proposal of “Wu Shan Wu E.” Though not their primary philosophical tenants, “the similarities and dissimilarities between Zhu and Liu” and “the similarities and dissimilarities between Zhu and Wang” are much referred and responded to in Gu’s and Gao’s works. I observe that Gu Xian Cheng endeavors to accommodate Zhu, Liu and Wang from the perspective of “the performative procedure,” and proposes the conception of “the renunciation of the selfhood.” Gao Pan Long follows the same approach, while he further attempts to integrate Zhu and Wang with the idea of “the unison between conscience and the natural law.” In sum, I intend to look into their arguments and evaluate their contribution and validity.
