    摘要: In this paper, the dynamic stability of foam-filled sandwich plates with stiff composite laminated faces subjected to an arbitrary periodic load is studied. The load is taken to be a combination of periodic bending and normal stresses. The governing equations are established by using the Galerkin method with a reduced eigenfunctions transformation. The equations of motion of Mathieu type are derived and used to determine the regions of dynamic instability based on Bolotin's method. A numerical approach is developed to determine the dynamic stability of foam-filled sandwich plates. The effects of load parameters and core layer thickness on the excitation frequency, dynamic stability region and dynamic instability index are discussed.
