本論文先針對IEEE 802.15.4、Zigbee聯盟所制定的Zigbee規範作一定層度的深入探討，基於這些Zigbee規範，對此系統的硬體和軟體架構作設計，實現電腦端可以得到以IEEE802.15.4傳送在Zigbee感測模組監測到的溫度、濕度、光度等環境的數據，且這些數據能夠儲存於SQL Server中，使用者想觀看歷史數據或是依據這些獲得的資料做進一步的分析，進一步的控制家電設備的電源開關，實現Zigbee家庭監控系統。
