Abstract:	本文寫作的目的除了描述唐代之前市場制度與宵禁制度在各朝代演變過程，說明夜市發展的限制條件之外，並且探討唐代夜市與政府與各階層之間相互產生的社會生活關係，尤其是人民及士人夜生活經濟，這一點在宋代之前與宋代之後因政府對於宵禁及坊市制度的規定法律改變，而會對夜市有迥然不同的觀念產生，因此中晚唐當時夜市现象、市民生活型態、相互關係與當時對於夜市文化象徵的研究，即為本論文寫作的目的與論文重心。
