    Abstract: 飲食是建構傳統民族文化的重要基礎,而漁撈在阿美族的傳統社會中,更是與生活息息相關的重要活動,但是漁撈文化卻在時空轉變的影響下,面臨多元文化相互採借的涵化現象。本研究採質性研究的方式,以花蓮縣光復鄉馬太鞍濕地為研究範圍,運用訪談法與觀察法進行資料蒐集,並於事後進行編碼與分析。
    研究結果發現馬太鞍阿美族人運用當地的濕地環境,發展出特殊的漁撈方式-巴拉告(palakaw),但是此種方式現在已經轉化為觀光體驗活動,而相關文獻對其發展的背景因素卻少有探討。除此之外,在文獻所記載的傳統漁撈方法,不但因爲自然環境的改變而消失,漁撈的傳統意義也因爲社會文化的影響逐漸式微。

    Diet is the basic foundation in constructing traditional culture in aboriginal tribes. In Amis tribe, fishing practice constitutes in their daily activity. However, due to economic and society change, fishing ritual has to alter and adapt to other cultures and customs gradually. The objective of the study was to investigate the fishing activities in Fataan wetland in Guanfu, Hualien by using qualitative approach which included observation and interview.
    The research found that Amis tribe in Fataan newly developed an ecological fishing practice-palakaw based on the wetland environment. Instead of being the traditional fishing custom and culture, Palakaw has come to symbolize the Amis tribe and its indigenous image which used to cultivate tourism experience in Fataan. Besides, due to the boom of tourism development, the ancient’s fishing practices are disappeared as well as its traditional meaning
