The present work aims to investigate and develop a series of monoazo dyes containing sulfonic group for the polyester/wool blends fabrics. These dyes were obtained by the coupling of diazotised 2-aminobenzenesulfonic acid, 4-nitroaniline, 2-hydroxyaniline, 3-hydroxyaniline and 4-hydroxyaniline acid with3-(N, N - dihydroxyethyl) aminochlorobenzene, 3-(N, N-diethyl)-aminoacetanilide, 4-(3-hydroxy- 4 - methylpyrrolyl)benzene sulfonic acid, N-cyanoethyl - N -ehylaniline. These dyes were dyed on polyester, wool, polyester/wool blend fabric and their dyeing and fastness properties evaluated. The fastness properties of all the dyeing samples were in accord with commercial requirements.
