In this study, a stainless steel screen mesh was laid on a pre-punching polyamide web and covered by another web. After the thermal calender bonding, the compound nonwoven fabrics were obtained. The compound nonwoven fabrics were placed on the multi-layer Kevlar fabrics, and the cushion effect was evaluated by using the impact energy in the dropping impact test. The specifications of the stainless steel screen mesh and the blending ratio of low melted-temperature polyester staple fiber were varied to demonstrate the influence of these parameters on the energy of the fracture propagation of multi-layer Kevlar compound fabrics.
