Urinary incontinence is a common illness for all women over the world. As a result of patients’ conservative attitude in Taiwan, most of them felt embarrassed and did not go to see a doctor. Many incontinence patients did not consider urinary incontinence as a disease that needs medical treatments. In Taiwan, there are still many unknown problems about women’s urinary incontinence worth of investigation. The problems such as the prevalence of urinary incontinence about adult women under 65, the duration between two consecutive urinary incontinences, the impact of urinary incontinence to patient’s usual life, the percentage of patients who seek medical advice, the attitude of women toward urinary incontinence, the current situation about making use of traditional Chinese medical science, modem medicine, or folk convention therapy etc. are interesting to researchers. Using random sampling and interviewing questionnaire, we collected a sample data of 3537 adult women under 65 in Taiwan. In this paper, we analyze the prevalence of urinary incontinence and give some factors that associated with urinary incontinence.
