    Abstract: 本文首先探討英語(文)為第二(或外國)語文教科書的不同層面和要素,其次設計一個八個問題的問卷,針對文大大一和大二修習『 語文實習 』課程之學生,對所使用之教科書New Wave 2和New Wave 3分別進行調查,調查之結果和發現將作為本語文中心採選教本之重要參考。

    This paper first examines the varied aspects of an ESL/EFL textbook, and then designs an eight-question questionnaire administered to freshmen and sophomore students taking English laboratory courses at Chinese Culture University to solicit their views concerning the textbooks they were using, New Wave 2 and New Wave 3 respectively. The results of this investigation will provide a significant reference for the teachers at the Language Center of the Chinese Culture University should they choose to select a suitable textbook for their future classes.
