The Colloquium on Sung History was organized some forty-five years ago by Chinese scholars for the study of Sung, Liao, Kin, and Si Hsia histories. It main work includes: (I) To hold a Colloquium on Sung history regularly, so far it has been held 145 times; (2) To publish Studies on Sung History, so far 30 issues have been published; (3) To keep close relations with about 200 Chinese and foreign scholars in Sung history. The Colloquium has been presided over by Chao Tih-han, Sung shee, and Wang Teh-yi, it is Sung Shee who served the longest for 26 years. The series of Studies on Sung History is mailed, after publication, to Chinese and foreign Sung historians and research institutions for the promotion of academic exchange.
