The purpose of this research is to study the christian spiritual healing processes, and their connotations by Bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspective. A narrative approach is selected in this study. With purposeful sampling and in-depth interviews, three Christians’ spiritual healing processes are transcribed into the story texts and analyzed with Holistic-Content methods.
The results indicate:
1. People who have irresoluble life burden and positive spiritual experiences choose to accept Christianity. They establish the relationships with God and will to change their lives, thus can experience the long-term spiritual healing.
2. People lean on God in the spiritual level, and then God influences them on physiological, psychological, societal, and spiritual aspects. The four aspects then interact with different life events. Finally, they all affect the personal relationship with people and with God. This circulative and accumulative interaction patterns establish the christian spiritual healing.
3. The essential factors of spiritual healing contain people’s motives of changing, the willing to accept Christianity, the support strength of social system, and the linking to God.
4. The study results are only suitable the views of monotheistic spiritual.
In the end, according to these findings, some suggestions are made for future research and counseling practice.
