This thesis centered on an individual creation style. With the help of artistic practice, we discuss personal experience and Aesthetics. And through the track of creation constructed by symbol vocabulary, we analyze visual-imagery entailments with selections and presentation forms. Finally, we attempt to clarify the thread of conception step by step. Firstly, chapter one states the purpose and motivation of this study at the same time self-examines the relationship between artistic competence and the way it performs. Exploring the original spirit of western and eastern art, which is chapter two. The characteristics of western abstract art and the theory of empathy out of the aesthetic viewpoint are paralleling with Chinese painting and calligraphy philosophy. As a matter of fact, both reach the same goals by different means. Chapter three is an extension of personal conception. After investigating western and eastern art theories, their connotation and symbolic meanings reflect on creations. Furthermore, we take a closer look at creations via the convergence of images, literature, and art philosophy. Undoubtedly, self-reflection is an essential part of this section. The fourth part elaborates creation techniques. It’s a preliminary report on composite material experiments and artistic realizations. The static quality of painting not only expresses the diversity of fleeting mental flow status also conveys self-emotions and spirits, which is revealed at creations. Here we raise a personal point of view via one’s life process. Chapter five includes a conclusion and reflection. In general, we hope by studying individual spirits to penetrate the soul of artistic works.
