We report a patient with mild motor and sensory dysfunction of the face and hand, which was caused by a middle cerebral artery occlusion with infarction in the sensory and motor cortices of the dominant hemisphere. She showed striking recovery in three days. We discuss some of the possible circulatory variants that might underlie this pattern of infarction.
