於三年(2005年至2007年)的兩個度冬期(每年10月至隔年2月),總共記錄9種鴴形目水鳥,數量有86,889隻次。第一個度冬期(前期),風力機仍未完成設置。於第二個度冬期(後期),風力機已經運轉。彰化崙尾風能場的第9號至15號機的設置,比較前期與後期的差異,顯示風力機運轉後,鴴形目水鳥群聚數量呈現減少,主要的飛行路線遠離風力機向外位移100公尺以上。水鳥群聚的活動呈現分散情況,且出現有臨時轉向飛行的行爲。風能場設置之前,倘若可先了解當地區水鳥群聚活動的情況,納入規劃設計風力機的配置,將可有效的降低對鳥類生態的衝擊。
During the two successive winter seasons (October to February) of three years (2005-2007), there were 9 species of Charadriiformes birds been recognized and a total of 86,889 individuals been recorded. No wind turbines were at the first winter season. Wind turbines were in action at the second winter season. Comparing the data of the two successive winter seasons, the operation of wind turbines tended to decrease the active number of Charadriiformes birds, disturb the main flight route which be moved to more than 100 meters far away from wind turbines, and also induced some uncommon flight behavior, suddenly flight direction turn, in the number 9 to 15 wind turbines of the Lun Wei windfarm in Chang-hua coast. The understanding of the community activity patterns of water birds at the destined area for any coastal wind farm, and be included into the planning, would be crucial to reduce the impact to the bird communities.
