People believed that Tsao Tsao was the calligrapher who wrote the two characters "gun shue" on a stele in the Gun River near Sian. The size of each character is over one meter wide. The signature on the stele is "Wei Wang"(King of Wei). Even scholars believed this is true, and praised the writing of "gun shue" as one of the best of Tsao Tsao's works. However, an analysis of the way in which the "gun shue" were written shows clearly that the writer was a person who was good at writing regular script and presented the writing in an official style. As we all know that the regular script had not yet well developed in Tsao Tsao's time, so it is obvious that Tsao Tsao was not the calligrapher who wrote the two characters on the "gun shue" stele.
