摘要: | 中國古禮含義甚廣,是一個無所不包的生活概念,包含生活的諸型態-禮儀,也包含人生價值理想-禮義。實際上,禮與文化幾乎異詞同義,是一個渾然不分的統一體。從政治社會而言,禮儀即是禮治的基本內容,它是以宗法之禮與家族倫理為基礎的生活規範;禮義則是一個表意系統,要在體現禮文化的人文理想與人道關懷,並且承擔表詮其價值系統中的哲學要義,如天人合一、大同理想、內聖外王、居仁由義等,在孔子集大成以後都成了儒學系統中的世界觀與人生價值觀,在董仲舒崇經尊儒之後,逐漸形成「治(禮治)道(禮義)合一」的道統觀。本文即以陳述宗法之禮與家族倫理的「禮儀」與「禮義」為主,進而析論其思想特徵、歷史進程與人文理想。
The ancient Chinese concept of "propriety/li" is a comprehensive concept about life, including the different types of life (ceremony) and the ideal of the value of life (propriety/li and righteousness/yi). Actually, propriety/li and culture almost mean the same thing and are united as one entity. In a political society, "ceremony" is not only the fundamental content of the rule of propriety/li but also the norm of life that's based on the propriety/li of ancient Chinese feudal patriarchy and family ethics; "propriety/li and righteousness/yi" is a signifying system that is meant to embody the humanistic ideal and concern of the culture of propriety/li and represent the philosophical themes of the value system of the culture of propriety/li. This article is to address mainly the "ceremony" and "propriety/li and righteousness/yi" of the propriety/li of ancient Chinese feudal patriarchy and family ethics and, furthermore, analyze their philosophical attributes, historical progress and humanistic ideals. |
