Image quality can be assessed subjectively or objectively. Quantitative measurement, like solid ink density in printing, is used as the index for objective assessment. Psychophysical method is commonly used in the experimental design for subjective assessment. However, the observer stability may influence the precision of the experimental results. In this study, the observers’ repeatability is under investigation in regarding to the background of the observer in taking color related courses. The results indicate that by having the background in color related courses, the repeatability of the observer is better than not having it
