Along with the fast development of network technology, the media for information dissemination via network communication has diversified gradually. Videoconferencing, being able to conduct visual communication and data exchange simultaneously, is accepted by more and more enterprises and individuals nowadays. This study explores relevant factors affecting the attitude and intention of the videoconferencing users based on behavior theory known as the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). TAM can be used to assess the effectiveness of adaptation for an information technology (IT) tool introduced to the organization. When the generation evolves, the relevant factors affecting the attitude of using IT tools change accordingly. We modify the original TAM model developed by Fred Davis by adding two factors: the community effect factor and the availability factor. The results show that the amended Network Communications Technology Acceptance Model has considerable degree of explanatory power with regard to videoconferencing.
