Comparing Thai boxing in other countries, Taiwan has a very late development. Those who plays Muay Thai in Taiwan usually switched from sparring, taekwondo, boxing or other martial arts to Muay Thai. Muay Thai techniques can be divided into punches, kicks, elbows, knees, and wrestling. The best Muay Thai technique is the wrestling. The president of the Thai Boxing Association of the Republic of China (R.O.C.) also noticed this deficiency and invited professional Thai coaches to Taiwan and teach Muay Thai skills. In the past few years, we have achieved better results in international competitions and have improved our wrestling skills. We hope that in the future, Taiwan Muay Thai will win gold medals in international competitions.
