The colour-image processing technology has been developed for a long time. And, colour-image processing technology has more attractivity in various applications, especially for the simulation of object or environment on whatever industry or business, due to the technology of computer software and hardware developed extremely fast in the late of the twentieth century. Since the Industrial Revolution, the out-put process technique has been changed from the completely artificial to the semi-automated. However, so far, the integration of the automating technique in the domestic textile and related colour industries has not been made. Most of textile products colourised are made depending on few experienced operators. Therefore, the uncertainty of quality of products frequently results in a great loss due to date with delay, re-treatment or increasing production cost. Especially, the quality management on the colour appearance of textile products is still a stiff job. However, nowadays, the computer and image processing technique has much more improved than before. If this technique is used in textile and related colour industries, the precise quality control of colourized textiles and the automation of textile colourizing processes will be reached. Meanwhile, the one, firstly developing the new technique, has the leadership in the field of textile and related colour technologies, and holds the majority of business opportunity and marketing. Therefore, in this proposal, the simulation analysis on the colour appearance of various textiles is further investigated using the colour image processing method including comparisons between various gamut mapping methods. The results can be the bases of controlling and predicting the colour appearance of the textiles and related products colourized. Furthermore, those are of great advantage to developing the automation techniques of textile and related colour industries. And then, the manufacturing potential and effectiveness will be increased. The decreasing environmental pollution and increasing energy conservation resulted from the new technology in this research are also considered. Furthermore, these products will have high competition and potential in the marketing.
