摘要: | Urban wetlands are severely threatened by the increased land use / land cover (LU/LC)
changes everywhere in the world. The consequent changes of the urban wetlands have
significant impacts on its ecology and natural balance. In this study, we evaluated the
LU/LC change and their effects on landscape ecology of Guandu wetland system, one
of the important urban wetlands located in the Taipei metropolitan area, Taiwan which
consists of a mangrove reserve and other wetland types. We detected the LU/LC change
in study area using the Geographical Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing
(RS) techniques. Change detection was done through the analysis of classified satellite
images from the year 1990, 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2011. Supervised classification was
used in classifying the satellite images into land use classes. The standard landscape
metrics were used to quantify and compare the LU/LC change of the study area over the
above period. Due its location, in a highly urbanized area, the impacts from the
urbanization, infrastructure development projects and other land use modifications, on
the wetland ecosystems are inevitable. These impacts on landscape and regional scales
have been carefully evaluated in accomplishing the sustainable development of this
area. By analyzing the results of the landscape ecological assessment of this area, we
could understand both its spatial and temporal dimensions and also the natural and
human-induced effects in this area. The results obtained from this study can be applied
in planning and decision making processes of the environmental management in the
future. |
